I have decided to make the switch. So far with 7.5.2 BE I am pleased except
for a few things. I am just beginning here so please excuse me if some of
my problems are trivial. I want the user experience to be the same using
Rave as it was previously. Currently this is the way it works.

In my app there are 3 separate types of reports. In each case a user is
presented with a form where they make choices such as date range, selecting
doctors, selecting the report, etc. On this form there is also a preview
button and a print button. If the user clicks preview the preview screen
comes up and it includes a print button. If the print button is clicked on
the form or the preview screen a standard windows printer dialog is
displayed.

My Problems:

1) I do not want the Rave selection form to show. It is not consistent in
layout or font usage with the rest of my application.

2) I want a tab enabled print button on the preview window.

3) I want the preview window to have my app icon on it.

4) I want to replace the door close button.

5) I want to remove or change the rendering popup window for the same ads 1
above.

My hopes are that these thing are reasonably easy to do without causing
myself headaches with each Rave update.

Thanks

Russ

Russ,

look into the Tipps #72 and #74 on the nevrona.com/rave-page for using your
own forms with Rave Reports!

and think about an update to Rave BEX, here you'll receive the source of the
report-engine ....

Hi:

This is the first time I have read about anyone wanting to
change from Crystal Reeport to Rave Report. I'm yet to
start using it, after Quick Report has been removed from
Delphi. My problem is, I need a quick tutorial to get me
started. If I can get a sample that uses database and
run right inside Delphi, that would be great.

Your response to this request would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely:

Gbenga

They have some documents on their website that walks you through creating
reports.
