Can a D7 app using Rave 5.08, read and process .rav files generated with
Rave 4.0. There are no event procedures in any of the files, just
sraightforward reports.

The reason I ask is that we have a production system that was developed
under D5 using Rave 4. A new system is being rolled out that was written in
D7 with Rave 5, but for a short while, both systems must co-exist, and be
able to read the same form templates. During this transition period, there
will be a large number of form updates that must work in both systems, and I
don't want to have to keep two versions floating around. Once the old
system has been shut down, I can re-open everything in Rave 5 and update the
format.

My minamilist testing seems to suggest that it is possible, but I don't want
to release a production system based on that minimal amount of testing.

Thanks

I think (don't promised) it should work because you don't use events inside
your report....
